Description:
Barrier Red Mite Powder is an effective reppellent to protect against infestation or to deal with an existing infestation of red mites. This product is a detterent and will not kill red mites. It relies on them being deterred from biting the chickens and then either dying out or moving elsewhere.
Directions for Use:
Thoroughly dust the birds with the powder, avoiding the eyes. Apply sparingly on smaller birds. Red mite is a nocturnal creature so it’s best to spray the birds before lights out. Dim the lights as low as practically possible to avoid any undue agitation amongst the birds.
This power is sustainable for use in organic farming systems as it only contains pure and natural ingredients. It was developed for use in intensive farming systems, but it also suitable for use in organic farming systems, as it falls into the category of products which use only plant oils as active ingredients, as listed in Annexe IIB (Pesticides) of Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 (as amended).
